Putaruru College School Goals 2016
· 1. The attainment
of 12-14 + credits per student per
course for L1-3 NCEA students (for at least 70% of students)2 To raise
retention levels past Year 11 to enable increased attainment at NCEA Level 2
for Putaruru College leavers3 Literacy and
Numeracy achievement at Level 1 to lift by further 10% (20% for Maori students)4 At Years 7 – 10
to continue to raise each student’s Literacy and Numeracy attainment by at
least the chronological year if not
better5 In 2016 to
continue to lift Maori student achievement in Reading at Years 7 and 8 from
“Below” to “At” the National Standard.
6 Raise school
performance overall in terms of Culturally Responsive and Relational Pedagogy
from Level 3 to Level 4 using the Rongohia Te Hau observation data.
